Intro
Hello there, my name is Adam Sparks. My wife Alexa and I are the creators of Short Answer! First, we want to say thank you for being a Short Answer Teacher. We’re honored to have you using Short Answer in your classroom and are excited that you’re interested in becoming a Short Answer Ambassador. As a small team, your support is vital in helping us spread the word about Short Answer.
Requirements
To ensure that Short Answer ambassadors have a solid understanding of the Short Answer approach, Short Answer ambassadors will:
- ✔️ Watch brief tutorial videos on Short Answer basics and pass corresponding quizzes on each video. (the 4 videos at the top of this page)
- ✔️ Conduct three readings on the Short Answer approach and pass corresponding quizzes on each reading. (Reading 1, Reading 2, and Reading 3)
- ✔️ Upload a screenshot of an exemplar question (and corresponding feedback criteria) from your Short Answer account.
- ✔️ Describe an experience you had using Short Answer or sharing Short Answer with staff that inspired you to become an ambassador
- ✔️ Conduct a quick 10-minute Zoom / phone call (at a time convenient to you) with the Short Answer founders to finalize ambassador details
We anticipate the above to take about 30-60 minutes to complete (not including the phone call) depending on your familiarity with Short Answer.
Commitment
As a Short Answer ambassador, you will also commit to:
- ✔️ Share your new “ambassadorship” on social media (or with your colleagues if you don’t have social media)
- ✔️ Present on Short Answer at least once during a given school year (with fellow staff or at a conference )
- ✔️ Be a go-to source for fellow teachers when they have questions
- ✔️ Offer feedback, both positive and negative, about Short Answer to help our team improve the platform
