Short Answer in Georgia
At Short Answer, we help schools embed high quality writing practice across the curriculum through gamified writing activities for any subject. We also lead workshops with schools across the world focused on adjusting K12 writing instruction in a world in which AI can now write for students. As such, we think about literacy….a lot. With the recent literacy push in Georgia, we know many Georgia educators do too. It’s why we’ll be at GaETC this year and why we’ve built out the variety of Short Answer support resources for Georgia educators below.
Georgia's Milestone Assessment Writer's Checklists
Short Answer is a tool to help develop the writing skills that will be measured on the Georgia Milestones Assessments. Specifically, the Georgia Milestones Writer’s Checklists clearly outline the skills students will need to be successful. As such, we’ve built out sample Short Answer activities aligned with these foundational writing skills:

Georgia Funding for Short Answer

To support this, we’ve created a first-pass grant application to expedite your application to the Georgia Teachers Initiative’s Teacher Grants for Innovation. This initiative supports innovative projects designed to improve learning outcomes and make a measurable impact on students’ lives in Georgia.
